Highly recommend the Beartooth Highway and Lamar Valley. No roadside attractions can compare so we didn’t even try π
Our drive ended in Idaho to visit friends for a few days (Lisa & GregππΌ). Both Lisa & her mom are quilters and Lisa’s mom is the one taking the 3 1/2” squares off my hands. She is also taking several yards of baby fabric. I asked about those two things. I did not ask about the rest of things in the picture below πππ€£.
Included is the broken dishes quilt I’ve been trying to get myself to finish. I’ve made two large throws and a baby quilt from these blocks already and I just am not interested in one more. Lisa said she will take a stab at it ππ. I use leftover blocks/units when I can for pieced backings. I LOVE and sew with scraps but most leftover blocks/units are not my jam.
Cheers, Cherie

GORGEOUS country!!! There is nothing quite like seeing bison and antelope in person! And how fun that you shared your leftover blocks with Lisa and her mom!
ReplyDeleteLooks like one could travel around the park and see as much as if you went into the park. What a bunch of fun goodies to pick from. Sounds like you are having a wonderful trip! I did spy some of your dad's flowers in the picture!
ReplyDeleteWe are fortunate to have a herd of buffalo that lives at Shelby Farms (huge park/recreation area here). We drive out to see them anytime we're nearby. They are indeed magnificent.
ReplyDeleteGosh that looks so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteand how sweet of you to leave some *goodies* behind haha
