I don’t think I showed the Cheddar & Dill octopus for sewing on the binding.
In preparation for “in the car” quilting, I saved hand sewing the C&D binding for our trip. I’ve turned two corners so far 👍🏼.
To mix it up a bit, I brought along a project that’s been in timeout for an extremely long time. I only have a few green hexies left so I will sew one more flower to finish the current row.
I had no idea I was so close to being done. Good thing there are more projects in my quilting bag 😉. When I get home I’ll pick a fabric to appliqué the hexie top to and then figure out what I’ll do for quilting.Happy trails, Cherie
That is a lot of quilt to bind in the space you have at your machine! You are lucky to be able to sew in the car. I needed to finish hand stitching the binding on for quilt on the way to a concert. The quilt was for the performer. I was so car sick. I did get it done and after just relaxing for a while, the nausea and head spinning did go away.
ReplyDeleteLooks like at least to finishes on the road. Well done, Cherie. I hope your travels are going smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to sew in a moving car. Maybe knitting would go OK.
ReplyDeleteI cannot read or stitch in the car - I envy those of you who can. And your stitches are so even!
ReplyDeleteGreen Bay Packer colors!! are you a fan or just liked the colors together?
ReplyDeletehope you are having fun - I was never able to do much sewing on the road looking at scenery I could read or crochet/knit I saved the sewing for evening rests I used to sew in the car all the time
ReplyDeleteCheddar and dill....love it! I always take projects for car trips too. Love the paper pieced hexies quilt!
