Some Finished Steps
Starfire is a top!! Yippee!! And I have a fun wide back that will do nicely so all that’s needed is quilting and binding.
I also finished 25% of the RRCB binding, so there’s a chance this will make it to a 2025 finish just like the label says 😉.
In other news, Cheddar and Dill fabric has arrived from the Fat Quarter Shop. I CAN NOT get a photo that shows the true colors….the green is not this “pine-y” more, well, dill colored, lol. And the cheddar isn’t this intense.
Hoping to get the potholders finished for Thursday 🤞🏼🤞🏼and then on to sewing the scrappy mountain blocks together. I am also thinking about what I’d like to do for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge in 2026. I haven’t participated in years so it will be fun to join along again.
Cheers, Cherie
Congratulations on the Starfire top. It turned out lovely. Nothing like dating the label for motivation to finish...was that your plan? LOL Glad you got your fabric from FQS. That seemed quick to me.
ReplyDeletelooks like the Green Bay Packer colors!
ReplyDeleteStarfire is so pretty. I like all of the variations of color in the Xs and squares.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the colors will be more true outdoors on a slightly cloudy day? Starfire is wonderful - congrats on a finished quilt top!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting on RRCB is looking great! I hope you finish by year end, but if not, the only one who will know is you. Do the Cheddar and Dill from FQS match the ones you've already used closely enough?
