This week I received the most wonderful gift in the mail. I knew it was coming. It was from MaryAnn at Joyful Puttering: Collecting * Creating * Connecting who blogs about joy. You should add her blog to your daily routine as her joyful posts are good for one’s mental health. MaryAnn makes journals and in this post she offered to make Joy Journals. I took her up on her offer and sent her some things I’ve been keeping in my quilt studio (nothing too precious as cautioned by MaryAnn).
What I received in the mail:
I can tell MaryAnn & I are kindred spirits because she used a carrot bag to cover my Joy Journal. And of course I’ve saved the bag to reuse ♻️😃
The journal, as described by MaryAnn in her post here. What she sent back is too precious for words……which why I asked to connect with her. The connection is just as joyful as the journal.
Below are the pages with a few comments.
The flowers above and pencil drawing below were done by my father. I have lots of his drawings so it wasn’t too precious to mail…..but it is very precious now.
This is a postcard MaryAnn’s Grandmother received 🤯
And the back of the postcard…..way cool!
On the last page….words embroidered on the inside placket of a fancy, high end shirt I thrifted……I’ve saved this & the shirt tags for years just because they spoke to me….and now I know why. Thank you, MaryAnn for this most wonderful of treasures.

Your joy journal is fabulous! What a precious gift to receive. I will head over to MaryAnn's and check out her joy!
