A Quilting First for Me

For the first time I used a different color of thread in the bobbin of my longarm, Sophie, but with a light top and black backing, it was time to try it. I used black and white…..so pretty high contrast 😂

Scrap Confetti has been loaded on Sophie for quite a while, so it was high time to get it quilted. I’m very happy with the results.

Not only did the quilting go well, I won at bobbin chicken!

Only about 18” left after the last pass! Now to pick out binding fabric….light or dark, hmmmmm…….

Cheers! Cherie

  2. VERY nice! Do you have a light with some of your confetti colors in it for a possible binding? Otherwise I would go light.

  3. What a great quilt with a lot of neutral scraps. Did you use a pattern or come up with it on your own?

  6. Beautiful!!! The texture looks great. If you haven't picked out binding yet, I suggest Light binding.
