Waiting in the Wings

My fabric usage is going to be lower than my acquisitions on my next summary unless I finish something 😬.  I took a look at the quilts I have waiting in the wings.  Sophie, my Nolting longarm, is already loaded with a quilt I made from thrifted shirts in a pattern from Sujata Shaw’s Cultural Fusion book.

I learned from Judy Laquidara, when she was still quilting, that I’m more likely to quilt if I immediately load a quilt after finishing the current one.  She’s right, but a more powerful motivation is a deadline or stash report 😆.

Quilts to Quilt
Here are the other four quilts waiting to be quilted.  I am ashamed to admit the Bonnie Hunter’s Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll (RRCB) top was finished years ago, maybe 15 years as this was Bonnie’s 2010 mystery quilt.  Yikes!!

Only one of these quilts has a home, well, two of them because I’m keeping RRCB!  That means the other three are up for grabs which is why they are waiting in the wings.

Okay, maybe it’s time to get quilting!

Cheers,

Cherie

  1. I love the colors and design of the quilt you have on Sophie! I had a quilt top that sat for 35 years before I finally got it done so you are doing ok in my book!
