Now to Sew It Together & a BAP

I got all the blocks sewn for Quadrangle. The pattern calls for a 6 x 6 block setting but I prefer rectangle quilts so am going with 5 x 7.  I’ll put the extra block in the pieced backing.  The colors are off in all my photos and no amount of editing seems to help 😕.  The orange is not as bright.

I started the Long Dog Samplers Pandemic sampler, well, during the pandemic.  My eyesight started deteriorating and I quit struggling with it in 2021.  In Oct 2024 and May 2025, I had cataract surgery along with a partial corneal transplant in the right and left eye respectively due to having Fuch’s dystrophy.  It is truly amazing how well I can see now, I’m so very thankful.  Because the sampler had been put away for so long it, I’d forgotten about it 😟.  I came across the Pandemic BAP (Big A$$ Project) and have been working away on it.

When I picked it up again, I had three of the 20 pages stitched.  Since July, I’ve stitched page 4 and part of page 5.  I estimate it will be December 2027 before I’m done 😳😳

Bring it on!

  1. I'm with you on going from a square to a rectangle. You got those blocks done fast! You showed me that sampler when I came to visit and it is so beautiful. I am so glad you can now get back to it! What count and what fabric is it? I have been too busy sewing to do any cross stitching.
