The doll quilt I made for the Humble Quilts swap was received today so I can post pictures of the one I made.
In honor of the 250 anniversary of the USA, I appliquéd an eagle and used red, gold and blue fabric. I hand quilted it and used single fold binding.
I’ve had the fabric I used for the backing for ages and was happy I had enough to center Lady Liberty.
Cheers, Cherie

Your quilt is wonderful and that backing is so perfect! I am looking forward to seeing the one you receive.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous doll quilt. Perfect for this year! The backing fabric makes it reversible, except the label will show. But that is ok too. Well done, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect for the 250th birthday
ReplyDeleteI bet the recipient is super happy with that doll quilt. I love the backing fabric too. It's fun to have the perfect backing in your stash and also to have enough to center the design.
ReplyDeleteI love that you used gold with the red and blue. Beautiful touch!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! I feel like MAGA stole these American images for a while....but we're taking them back. I see more and more flags at the rallies! Well done Cherie! I LOVE the backing!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Cherie! That is a most excellent doll quilt.
ReplyDeleteNice to find your blog, Cherie, courtesy of Julie's post today. The swap quilt is a wonderful semiquincentennial memento -- the backing fabric is terrific.
ReplyDeleteThat is one special doll quilt! The applique is stunning!
